On February 16th, Shaun and I had to chance to go to the Hogle Zoo with my parents. It was honestly a lot of fun. I really like going to the Zoo in the winter, because there seems to not be as many people and that is always nice. Plus I think some of the animals are more active.
None of us had been to the zoo since they added the Rocky Shores area and I gotta say that I am REALLY impressed with that new area! My favorite part was Rizzo, the polar bear. I could have watched her for hours (I really could have!!) She was swimming all over her enclosure and when she was tired of swimming she would go walk around on the shore. Then she would repeat. She was just really entertaining.
Another thing I enjoyed seeing was the baby giraffe. It was so cute!
After we got done at the zoo we headed to Ruth's Diner for lunch (YUMMY!) and then continued up the canyon for a nice little drive! (The reverse of the drive we took a few weeks earlier)
It was fun getting to spend sometime with my parents!
Here are just a few pictures (and I really do mean a few. Shaun took over 800 pictures while we were at the zoo)

October 2012
October was a pretty crazy month for us. On the 10th we were able to go to the Temple and doing sealing for some of Shaun's ancestors with his parents, aunt, uncle and some cousins. His cousin Angela has been working on genealogy for the family and had a bunch of names that were ready to have sealing done. It was really neat.
In September our lease for the place we were living ended and we really didn't want to sign a new lease there. As much as we are not fans of moving we decided we should look and see what else was available. We really didn't want to move from our current ward, because we really think it is a great ward and I had just started my calling in the Relief Society Presidency and have really enjoyed it. Luckily we were able to find a new place to rent within our ward boundaries. On the 20th we loaded up a moving truck and moved the 1.1 miles to our new place. For this move we decided to do things a little differently. On all of the boxes we packed we placed a colored star on it. This star designated where that box would end up. We put signs on every level of our new place that showed where that colored star went. For the most part this worked out great. We definitely will be trying it next time we move.
Also in October I was able to go to Time Out for Women here in Salt Lake with my Mom, Aunt Cory and my friend Christie. It was a really fun weekend! I am so glad I went. It is such a spiritually uplifting event! I can't wait for TOFW 2013!
The last fun thing we did in October was have our annual Pumpkin Carvenival. We did it as a family home evening activity instead of a Friday night activity, but it was still a lot of fun. Two other couples came and we had dinner and carved pumpkins. I am not sure why I find it so fun, but I do!

Kruger Family Vacation 2012
This year was the Bi-Annual Kruger Family Vacation and for this trip we headed out to Indiana. We flew in Friday evening and headed to Lafayette. On Saturday our nephew James turned 8 and was baptized! We spent the rest of the day celebrating his birthday and baptism! They had a pinata, which everyone seemed to love... It broke off the rope, so to fix it Kari put clear box tape on it. That made for some fun.
Sunday morning we checked out of our hotel and then headed to church with Bryon and Kari's family. Our family (6 additional adults) almost doubled their branch! After church we headed back to Byron and Kari's to hang out until we could go to the house we were renting for the rest of the week!
We stayed at the Dogwood Springs Guesthouse and it was AMAZING!! This house was huge! We had a private lake to play on, a fire pit, a golf cart to explore in, a pool table and so much more. It was a pretty awesome house!
While there we headed to Indianapolis to visit the Indianapolis Speedway. That was honestly pretty cool. In the museum they had the winning cars from the last 100 years of the Indy 500. The winner in 1911 won the race going an average of 70 mph and the winner in 2011 won going an average of 170 mph! I thought that was crazy! We were also able to do a lap on the race track itself! That was pretty cool.
Another outing we did was to Cataract Falls, Indiana's largest waterfalls. Umm... lets just say they weren't very impressive, but that happens during a drought.
We spent a lot of time out on the lake. There was a paddle boat, a row boat, and a floating dock. Shaun and Tom (brother) bought radio controlled boats that they spent a lot of time racing! It was fun to watch them.
All in all it was a great vacation! I can't wait for the next one!
Picture time!! (Thanks Tom & Chelsea for letting me steal a few of your pictures)

One Day, Two Events!
July 7th this year was a pretty great day! Not only was it Shaun's 30th birthday, but it was the day that Shaun and I were sealed for time and ALL ETERNITY in the Draper Utah Temple! It was amazing to be able to spend the day in the temple with my husband and our families and friend
The sealing was a really cute old man. He was so nice. You could tell he had been doing this for awhile! My temple escort was amazing! She was really nice and so helpful! The whole experience was amazing! I am grateful for all the family and friends who came to support us!
Later in the evening we had a party to celebrate Shaun's 30th birthday and Our sealing! It was a lot of fun. We ate and talked and just had fun! It was a great way to end such an amazing day!
Here a few of my favorite pictures from the day:

Seattle
Shaun and I were able to take a quick trip up to Seattle to visit Tom, Chelsea and Jake. It was a lot of fun. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Seattle (to visit that is :) ) and so anytime we get to go is awesome. We flew up on Friday the 14th of October (the day after I ended my second term of school.. Another 4.0!!) and spent sometime exploring Downtown Seattle and then took the ferry over to Bremerton where we met up with Tom, Chelsea, Kim and Michelle (they were up in Seattle because Michelle had a class she was taking) and had a yummy dinner at Anthony's. We spent the rest of the evening hanging watching Big Bang Theory (we LOVE this show now! Thanks Tom and Chelsea!)
The next day we headed to Point No Point to check out the lighthouse there and then we headed to do some shopping. We hit up Central Market (it is a pretty cool supermarket with tons of different ethic foods and an awesome bulk section) and a few other store to get things for a BBQ we had that night.
Sunday we went to church and then Tom, Jake, Kim, Shaun and I went exploring at on of the local parks in Port Orchard. It was TONS of fun. It felt like there we had left the city and had headed to the mountains. It was AWESOME! I would love to have parks like that around here.
Then Monday we headed home so I could start my third term of school! It really was a fun trip. I can't wait until we go again!

Rachel & Tod's Wedding
Back on September 24th Shaun and I were able to go to the wedding and reception of a family friend, Rachel. She got married to her long time boyfriend, Tod. It was a fun event for the most part. The funnest part for us was getting to see other family friends we don't often see because they live clear across the country. We were able to spend time with Big Sarah (brides mom), little Sarah (the brides sister) and Little Sarah's husband Seth during the reception and then Little Sarah and Seth ended up coming and spending the night at our house. It was a lot of fun getting to stay up talking and playing Uno with them. It was also a lot of fun all the other times we got to spend time with the Sarah's throughout the remainder of their stay here is SLC.
Here are some pictures from the wedding:
